Deputy Sito Hamar

Deputy Sito was created for a MUSH on FidoNet.. As a Bajoran, his family name is his first name, and his personal name comes second. Deputy Sito is a career policeman from a family of police, his most famous relative was Sito Jaxa, seen in TNG episodes as a Starfleet Academy classmate of Wesley Crusher, and on her fatal first assignment, sent to provide cover for a spy by Captain Picard. This Website is his home and office.

The WebMaster

Warren caught me at work, to show off his new E-Cam.. So, I got him to take another the next day, in my deputy browns and nose-job, instead of reading glasses, then I retouched it and animated-in the wink, sat 'him' behind the desk. I wrote my first stories in high-school, decided that electronics would support art better than art would support electronics, and got Navy training in electronics tech. I fixed my first computer circuitry in 1961, it was an embedded system and used tubes..

FAQ

What do I fix?
Radio transmitters; Hammond Organs; embedded controller electronics; industrial sensors; my own 'puter...
Trek fan?
I started watching with the first episode in the sixties, and still watch and enjoy.
What rules apply to this website?
Artistic Integrity was high on the list.. if it didn't fit the concept of Deputy Sito's "place" I left it out, no matter how "cool" it looked. After the basic requirement of "fitting", I tried to keep it small and fast loading, while still doing high-tech flash.
Why so much image-map instead of text-links?
A lot of english letter text felt out of place in a Bajoran's office.
Which am I, Bajoran or Human?
When the writers of Star Trek "created" their Bajorans, it was as a name for a personality type, plus a visual clue on the nose so we could recognize them.. they picked my personality.
Why is there a bird and some creature on the desk in that office?
Bajorans know that a healthy Pagh needs some contact with nature, house plants and pets are common in Bajoran dwellings. The "creature on the desk" is Avrey, a Cardassian animal related to the Vole.

The icons on my Pagh chain are Eagle, Loop, and Star. The Eagle reflects the Eagle I wore for many years as a US Navy enlisted man. The loop or circle has a meaning related to the "medicine wheel", and reflects my concern with civilization, and the co-operation of cultures in the larger society. The star reflects both my interest in astronomy and my belief that the future of the human race requires opening the high frontier.
